Lightbridge Academy Targets Georgia’s Booming Population for Early Education and Child Care Franchise Expansion

Lightbridge Academy, a prominent early childhood education and child care franchise with nearly 70 units, is gearing up to expand its footprint in Georgia. The brand’s Circle of Care philosophy, which emphasizes collaboration among parents, teachers, franchisees, and the community, aims to meet the rising demand for quality child care in the state.

Atlanta, recognized by the National Association of Realtors as a city to watch in 2023, is attracting young families due to its strong job market and affordable housing. Lightbridge Academy’s Chief Development Officer, Craig Murray, highlighted the growth potential in cities like Marietta, Alpharetta, Norcross, and Augusta.

The child care sector is booming, with projections indicating it could reach a value of $73.8 billion by 2027. Lightbridge Academy differentiates itself by offering real-time technology for parents, advanced security features, and a commitment to health and safety, as demonstrated by their Lightbridge Promise initiative introduced in 2020.

The Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) could accommodate up to six Lightbridge Academy centers, with the broader state of Georgia potentially hosting 10 to 15 centers. To expedite expansion, Lightbridge Academy is proactively leasing real estate at the corporate level before signing franchise owners. This approach ensures efficient launches for new centers and provides security for landlords.

Murray mentioned that the brand is currently scouting real estate opportunities in the Atlanta market, aiming to secure locations swiftly so franchisees can establish their centers. He emphasized that Georgia, with its available land and spaces for conversion, is an ideal expansion market. Murray expressed eagerness to collaborate with franchise owners who resonate with the Circle of Care philosophy and are keen to serve the growing Georgia community.
