Now is the Time to Franchise with Lightbridge Academy in Orlando Before the Market Sells Out
Lightbridge Academy, a rapidly expanding early education and child care franchise, is actively pursuing franchisees to grow its footprint in Orlando, Florida. With its origins in New Jersey, the brand has been targeting growth in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, with Florida being a priority.
Craig Murray, Lightbridge Academy’s Chief Development Officer, highlighted Orlando’s rapid growth, emphasizing its family-centric communities. The city has seen a population surge, growing by 2.4% in 2019, reaching over 2.5 million residents. This growth rate is four times that of the U.S. and ranks second among the 30 largest American cities. With a median age of 33.9 years, Orlando’s youthful and diverse population is driving the demand for child care services.
Lightbridge Academy’s Circle of Care philosophy focuses on the holistic needs of children, families, staff, and the community. The brand offers unique services, including the ParentView® Internet Monitoring system, an eCommunication app for parents, extended operational hours, and advanced security measures. In 2020, they introduced the Lightbridge Promise®, emphasizing health and safety standards, including enhanced air purification and rigorous cleaning protocols.
Research by Lightbridge Academy indicates potential for expansion in Orlando and nearby suburbs, such as Winter Garden, Winter Park, Meadow Woods, and Oviedo. The brand aims to establish five to seven centers in the Orlando region. As part of their Florida growth strategy, they are set to open their inaugural center in Port St. Lucie. The brand’s Fast Track strategy focuses on leasing sites at the corporate level before signing franchisees, ensuring a quicker transition from signing to opening.
Murray revealed plans to secure 10 locations across Florida, with hopes of having 10 sites under lease within the next 18 months, including centers in Orlando. To engage with potential franchisees, the Lightbridge Academy team will attend The Franchise Show in Orlando from May 20 to 21.
